This restaurant is a gem! We have been there three times and it never fails to disappoint. We had a lamb plate, a falafel plate, and the baba ghanoush appetizer. The food is excellent, and there is always plenty of it. The lamb was perfectly cooked, and the spicy sauce they serve on the side has an intriguing flavor-so good! The baba ghanoush is the best I have ever had anywhere!! We will be back, of course. I love supporting a family owned business, too. They are always so friendly and welcoming!

Delicious food! Don’t let the express name fool you.. the quality is top notch. We got the chicken shawarma plate with salad and rice , along with the falafel appetizer. Seriously so good! They serve each meal with two sauces/dips and naan bread. Great quality for your dollar! Plus, it is owner operated... they are very kind and offer a nice personal touch. Currently one of my favorite spots in Evansville!

Delicious and flavorful Edited to add: The workers are friendly and the food is awesome, but at the counter you are charged for your meal 3.99% "service fee" 8% sales tax. The system then calculates the tip on top of that. Our 31 meal ended up being 41 with the unknown charges 5 dollar tip. I always try to tip generously but am frustrated by how things are calculated.

Y’all have to try Kabob Express in Evansville! It is one of the best hole in the wall restaurants I’ve had in a while. Friendly people, amazing food and something different. My boyfriend and i shared the grill plate high was your choice of 3 meats and two side and came with naan. My family got the Mediterranean bowls with chicken schwarma for one and gyro meat for the others. Fantastic flavorful food!

This is a nice place. Quaint on the inside, but clean and comfortable. Food is really good. Gyro and the Hummus are both great options!

Absolutely amazing. We went out for sister night and on my friends recommendation we went here for dinner. It was absolutely delicious. The salad was so fresh and crisp. The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. We shared an appetizer and pick 2 meal and it was plenty. We can not wait to go back and try more of their amazing food. They had a new dessert that I can not even begin to describe. It was crispy and flaky with a gooey custard like inside served with ice cream. Give them a try and be patient as everything is cooked to order.

Kabob Express does an excellent job at giving you great tasting food, at a pretty competitive price. Coming here, I honestly didn't know what to expect, my fiance and I were looking for somewhere new to try and we found it and dove right in. I have only ever had Mediterranean style food, really only a select few times and this might have been my favorite one to date. The food is made in an open air kitchen in front of you essentially so you can see and know your food is made properly which is always nice for people that care about that sort of thing. The wait time is around 10-15 minutes so make sure you are aware of that and place an order ahead of time if you are ordering for lunch. Ours took a little longer, at around 20 minutes, however they gave us a free Baklava with our meal which is very appreciated and something we were thinking about trying out anyways because we were feeling adventurous. The plate meals will run you about 15, and the sandwiches around 10, but both come with great sides. The salad was an excellent surprise for me, it tasted really good and could have had it for a main dish personally and would have been happy with how good it was. Pictured in my review is a Gyro Plate meal, a Chicken Sandwich Meal, along with the Baklava. Everything tasted fresh, and is a place we will certainly be visiting again soon.
